A two-day workshop on Kharif Planning for Himachal’ was conducted on 9-10th March, by RRA Network in collaboration with HimRRA in the H2O house, Chamba District, Himachal Pradesh. The workshop was attended by women farmers, panchayat representatives, civil society organisations operating in different districts of the state. The discussion revolved around the planning and development of millet clusters in the region, that can revive the region’s cropping patterns and tackle the food insecurity, malnutrition and hunger of the region. The planning on the elements of production, processing and consumption of millets ‘Shri Anna’ were the highlights of workshop where challenges like climate change, lack of awareness, migration, wildlife conflict, labour shortages and marketing linkages were also identified with the participatory planning process
